FRANCHISEOWNERSHIP LLC operates franchiseownership.com, including Ownership Match and Chat. This policy describes how we handle information you give us or that is collected when you visit.

Information we collect

• Ownership Match quiz answers, and your name and email when you unlock your ranked matches.
• Your name and messages when you use live chat.
• If you choose to get your matches by text: your mobile number, your consent choice, the consent wording shown, and when you consented.
• A newsletter email address if you submit one. The current newsletter form stores your submission in your browser.
• Basic technical and usage information, such as page visits, device and browser information, IP address, and site interactions. Our site uses a Meta PageView pixel.

How we use information

We use your quiz answers and contact details to unlock and deliver ranked Match results and follow up about franchise research or consulting. We also operate live chat with Mike and Franchise Ownership advisors, respond to inquiries, and improve the site. We do not sell personal data or leads to third parties.

Sharing and advertising

We share information with service providers needed to run the site, including hosting, email, and live chat providers, acting on our instructions. We may disclose information if required by law or to protect rights and safety. We do not sell personal information, sell leads, or share quiz answers or chat messages for cross-context behavioral advertising. Our Meta PageView pixel may transmit basic visit and device data to Meta; depending on applicable law, that activity may be considered sharing for cross-context advertising.

Live chat

Live chat on this site is provided by tawk.to (tawk.to Inc.). When you use chat, your chat messages and basic technical data (such as IP address, browser, and pages visited) are processed by tawk.to under its privacy policy.

Text messages

We collect your mobile number only if you enter it and check the consent box. We use it only for one-to-one texts about your matches and follow-up from Franchise Ownership. Consent is optional and isn't required to get your matches. Msg & data rates may apply; message frequency varies. Reply STOP to opt out or HELP for help. We do not sell phone numbers or share them for marketing.

Retention and security

We keep information as long as reasonably needed to provide our services, respond to inquiries, meet legal obligations, or resolve disputes, then delete or de-identify it when appropriate. We use reasonable safeguards, but no online service can guarantee absolute security. Email mb@franchiseownership.com to request access to, correction of, or deletion of information you provided, or to stop email follow-up, subject to applicable law.

Location and children

Our services are focused on the United States. They are not directed to children under 18, including children under 13. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, please contact us so we can address it.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy and will post a revised effective date here. Continued use of the site after an update means you accept the updated policy.
